  • April 8,  2013 Courage Exhibit and Gala Within Our Reach: The Struggle for Quality Education The exhibit, held at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corp. and curated by the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, New York Public Library, chronicled the history of education of Black New Yorkers from 1636 to the present.

  • Dr. Gore, emergency room physician at Kings County Hospital, presented his anti- violence program, KAVI (Kings Against Violence Initiative) to school leaders.
