Working with Parents

The Adelaide L. Sanford Institute (ASI) believes that removing the barriers that prevent all of our children from accessing a high-quality public education is an essential step to achieving access to the economic, social, and political resources that are needed to support strong families who live in a global society. ASI also recognizes that to accomplish this goal, there must be a deliberate and focused effort to build community awareness and strong partnerships with families and community leaders. Research findings and experiential evidence are clear: When parents are well-informed and actively engaged, their children are successful in school.
